Welcome to CDL-ART, the personal website of WNY artist Christian D. Lindner, a Buffalo, New York–born visual communicator with graphic design degrees from Villa Maria College and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). From an early age, he was immersed in an intensely artsy world. As the son of a renowned hairstylist in town who owned salons through the 1970s to mid 2000s, he was exposed to creativity and performance from the start. He soon become familiar with Buffalo’s underground scene—art shows, installations, analog, video, and audio with an energy similar to New York City’s... he embraced everything. It later drew him to a stint of living in Chicago working and living out his dream as a designer.
Throughout his creative career, Christian has contributed to a wide range of industries. Today, he's reignited his passion for artwork that primarily celebrates the rich architectural heritage of Western New York, with a special focus on the region’s distinctive use of copper.
As of the last decade his biggest passion is mentoring people with disabilities to show them the world of art in western ny as a way of giving back to a place he first started at as one with a disability. Christian has collaborated with artist Chris Muranyi on a number of garage and fence murals in the past few years and as of recent working with Ben Furner in large scale 3D print work. All three artists have shown "ability" in their own disability.
